It ended up being a cold and wet Saturday for the Mustang to cruise out to Atlantic Beach, Cape Town to pick up the two Matric Dance passengers. Alas, the cold weather could not in any way dampen the excited and eager spirits!

The initial pickup was followed by a second temporary dropoff at Parklands School where there was a lot of revving and showboating by many Matric Dance cars. Once speeches were complete, the Mustang was ready to head off into the sunset (or rather the night sky) to take the passengers off to the banquet hall at The Westin Hotel.

The young gentleman who celebrated his Matric Dance is aiming to complete an engineering degree at University in the next few years. 

Despite multiple road closures in Cape Town as a result of the Netball World Champs being hosted in the Mother City, ultimately the couple made it to the grand entrance of The Westin Hotel.
