After the hectic stormfront in the Cape over the past weekend, it was really nice to be able to take the Mustang out on a Matric Dance drive to Stellenbosch in sunny, clear and warm weather. 

The N2 had the usual traffic, although not too bad in hindsight. The Mustangs V8 engine idled along beautifully the whole drive. Ended up negotiating our way through road works entering into Stellenbosch. Not so lekker.  

Finally arrived at the pickup venue in Stellenbosch after which time we headed off to where the young lady was having a photo shoot near Coetzenburg athletic track. One photo shoot later and we were back off to the house to meet the "date", says our goodbyes and head off to the Stellenbosch town hall for the dropoff. One of the few times in my life where a school teacher asked me to "burn some rubber" upon leaving. Wow, that was a first!
